Founded in July 2021<\/strong> by Todd Mortenson<\/strong> and Scott Bayless<\/strong>, Autheo was built around four architectural foundations: TheoID<\/strong> (W3C-compliant DID for users, services, and AI agents); PQCNet<\/strong> (post-quantum framework on NIST standards: ML-KEM<\/strong>, ML-DSA<\/strong>, and SLH-DSA<\/strong>); a sovereign Cosmos SDK Layer 0<\/strong> with native IBC interoperability; and an integrated EVM-compatible Layer 1 execution environment<\/strong>, operating as a Proof-of-Stake with delegated staking and licensed validators<\/strong>, secured by block finality through CometBFT consensus<\/strong> (Proof of Autheo). Autheos public testnet went live in 2025 and attracted 350,000 wallets<\/strong> and 60,000 smart contracts<\/strong> over its first twelve months.
